Missed call Called me twice, once today once before. Don't recognise the number and don't know anyone in the area code.
Automated voice told me it was being recorded as an older gent spoke over it to ask me a question about a car
SCAM - an automated answering service, saying it was VISA, querying a more than £700 charge to my card. This was not the same number as my bank's usual fraud department

Insurance SPAM This number and very similar numbers have been calling me daily for a couple of weeks. I have missed the previous calls but answered today. A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. When I told him I don't have a policy he asked if I'd cancelled it and I told him I had and that I don't need life insurance. He immediately told me to have a good day and hung up. I think this is a marketing call. No message left, but they tried twice and the same day I received a call from a similar number with 2 different digits - again no message. When I called it (blocking my own number) there's an automated number saying the office is closed and it's 'something' communications (I didn't catch the first word). I figure if it was important / genuine they'd leave a message.

Accident Calling from "the insurance company" when I asked him which one he just said about the accident I'd had. I asked which accident, as I've had a lot recently (I haven't needless to say) to which he replied the minor bump in the car. When I told I'd had a few of those in the last couple of months and I was worried that they were going to take my licence off me, but I didn't think it was my fault, even though they all said it was .... then the line suddenly went very quiet. :-)

When I asked where did they get my number from they mumble some national something. when I said they don't have my number they said all they need to know if my house is damaged. I said they don't even know if my property privately owned. Then they hanged up.

I do not have bt broadband - BT can not technically supply it on this old rural line. I get b/band via radio link frmo an idependent provider which has nothing to do with BT. Guy said he was from BT technical department! WHat rubbish. He even sent me a pin to agree computer access. I advised him he as a nasty little scammer adn then hung up.

Robotic voice supposedly from HMRC threatening legal action due to non payment of taxes. SCAM/FRAUD
Called and said it's about my O2 account. Very loud sounds of a call centre in the background. I asked who's calling and there was no response. After a while they put the phone down.
Caller claimed to be from the Green Advice Centre. Might be legit, but I was in the middle of something, so just said that I didn't have time to talk. My number is registered with TPS and this was an unsolicited call.
