They said her computer was in really bad shape from the virus & said they d have to call her back. When they did, she was told it would be additional $. Her total paid, over $700. As Title, used comparison site Mustard for a car insurance quote, got a call from this number saying they represent companys not on Mustards comparisons but couldnt give a price even close to the better quotes i got from Mustard, Confused or Go Compare. I got a call from 72, but there was nobody there.
In less than 1 hour of me putting an ad on gumtree I was inundated with calls from this number and others with a Manchester area code. I kept blocking their numbers, but then they called from different landlines and mobile phone numbers asking if I d had an accident in the last three years and I would be entitled up to £4K. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16181490xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with some wide-scope telemarketing call centre, reported with PPI, insuarance marketing, loans/debts, energy schemes. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
