I was called by these people and sold a policy to cover my Hotpoint appliances for 12 months. The person seamed to know about my Hotpoint purchases and gave the impression that hes was actually from Hotpoint. I took out the cover and cancelled an existing cover with Legal and General. Started off by saying that there are a couple of government initiatives that are around that might be applicable to me. Asked if I have loft insulation and if it is more than 3 years old it will not comply with updated regulations after the Grenfell tower fire. Not sure if this is legit - he wanted to book a half hour survey of my loft. Declined saying that I would check out the government initiatives for myself as this was an unsolicited call.

Managed to answer the call after three times of it ringing. It went straight to a an accident claims dialogue that is automated. So its obviously a nuisance call, have now block...
I have been getting calls from this number for around 1 year. I have never answered it and do not intend to. If it was someone wanting to contact me personally, they would leave a message or text me. I believe it is someone wanting to scam me or an unwanted sales call and they have no business ringing me.

This call is the result of completing a survey, usually on social media, about the eligibility of a new boiler grant. If you aren't eligible for the grant then this company is contacting you regarding buying a new boiler. I had a couple of missed calls and then received a text explaining all of the above and giving me the option to cease any further contact.
