SCAM - On answer a strident recorded message tells you that "A criminal tax fraud case has been lodged against you". I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money. Claimed to be the NAS (national advice service) asked if I had worked in an industrial enviroment, said no the girl on the end of the phone said "oh ok and hung up" total cold calling spammers. Also on YELL.com the phone number appears to belong to Your Claim Lawyers 120 Bark St, Bolton, Lancashire, BL1 2AX.

SCAM: the number that called was too long to be identified as a phone number - it had 006 44 in front of it, which is probably deliberate to make it impossible to search. I could hear a call centre. Indian sounding guy asked for me by name. Told him he had the wrong number & he hung up.

Fraud: This was a text received stating someone was trying to change recipient details on an HSBC account and they wanted me to confirm details and authenticity. However, I have not had an HSBC account for more than 4 years. Please report the number to your phone carrier and apply the normal block and spam filter to the number. A trace of the number said it was a Vodafone number located in Manchester! #fraudnumber #scamnumber #hsbcscam
