Apparently I would be transferred over to a qualified adviser only to find out I was not speaking to a qualified adviser and would later be passed over again just so this so called adviser would check I was happy. Hi, I keep getting these calls aswell. The only reason I can think for these silent calls, would be to check for active mobile numbers - to later use with scam texts or for compiling a list of 'active' numbers, to be sold on. I am NOT an expert on any of this. I just cant think of another reason for them (no done research either)

Called our house phone asking to speak to a Mr ****, my partner answered and said sorry no one lives here with that name, they got really angry with him and hung up. Have had a number of calls previously but when answered there is no one there, just lots of background noise. Do not trust this number.
The old Microsoft scam. "All computers at your home have reported to our server etc etc". He put the phone down when I asked him to tell me my IP address. I was surprised when 1471 should this as a UK number
