Using computers to call people should be illegal, maybe it is. I hope the boss gets a big fine.

I have received calls at my home land line number as well as my mobile . However I do not answer these types of call numbers . My real complaint is that I have a new number as my old number is now my business line , they do not ring that though just my new one and no one has been given that apart from family and close friends !!So how did they get it ?

This was the telephone number given to me by a self-proclaimed "Microsoft engineer" as the legitimate number for a "Microsoft Windows Service Provider" in Oxford. Have called my mobile twice in 3 months. Claims I have had an accident in the last 3 years and they can help. I have never had an accident. Nuisance.

Cold call. Informed caller that my number is registered on TPS service to avoid such calls. Caller refused to believe and said would phone back later even though I instructed them not to. Number obtained via 1471 system. Same caller phoned back 11 minutes later. AN ABSOLUTE NUISANCE. COMPLAINT LODGED WITH TELEPHONE PREFERENCE SERVICE.

Accident claim - I ve had no accident! Ringing me constantly and bordering on harassment. Told them to take my name off their database but they still call so have blocked number.

Caller claimed to be VW Finance calling about an agreement. They couldn t tell me the reg no of the car they were calling about. Also didn t seem to know my name.
