Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618142xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance claims, financial marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

I had a call from this firm and allowed them to visit me on an appointment. Based off other comments I pretty much interrogated the lady who came to see me and she did produce a contract with the NHS trust that she said she was working with and invited me to call the contact at the trust whilst I was there.. 'Dave', aledgedly from BT, rang to say my internet speed was very slow. To fix it, he needed remote access to my computer or smart phone. I told him I was recording the call and he hung up. Clearly a scam call. Working from a script and not able to cope with my many questions!

I have now had 2 phone calls from this number a man calling himself Tom called both times, from a government initiative company regafding the loft lagging (althougn I have never heard it called lagging in this country it is loft insulation) I told him the first time that I was with the TPS and also a housing association tenant, he has just called again and again I explained that I'm witht he TPS and asked him to remove my number from the database and that I was a tenant not a home owner, again he just hung
