"Security" guy was abrupt and rude demanding personal details. When I queried why he needed these details (if genuine call he should know) he simply hung up

Silent call telephone 01216636185 - phoned my disconnected mobile which still allows incoming calls. I answered the number and they disconnected. Phone number is located as a landline number based in Birmingham!

I was called from this number this morning claiming to be from my bank. It was a recorded message and not a ‘live’ caller. I was informed there were two suspect transactions from my account and, if they weren’t from me, I should press 1 on my keypad. I hung up immediately, checked my bank account and saw that the transactions didn’t exist so I assume that this was an attempted scam.

I asked what name she had on the file and told me that she didn't have a name that it was a general call to all 02 customers for this great offer of 50% off the contract. I had a call from this number yesterday the caller said he was from British Gas to arrange a service I wasnt convinced that he was genuine and I asked him how I could be sure that he was from British Gas he immediately hung up Although this is a genuine BG number scammers can mimic numbers to make it look like the call is legitimate I will log into my British Gas account when I want to book my HomeCare service

Received a call from this number, from someone saying they where a company called Stay Solutions that organised tours, and where looking for partners to link up with for accommodation for their tour clients. They didn't know my name, they didn't have my email address. I am a bed and breakfast, and they said it was for a group of 5. I can only take 4 persons in a booking. I was suspicious, and I think they are using this telephone number illegally, its a scam beware!

WARNING: 01542832293, supposedly from SKY telephones with a refund of £202 for being over charged in previous months. We don't have any SKY account. Accent was so thick I could barely understand anything he said, but he wanted my details. I said I was not giving any details over the phone to someone that I did not know and wanted someone to talk to me as clearly as I was talking to him. I waited, the line was open, and he hung up. DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL DETAILS OVER THE PHONE.
