Spoke to there main contractor this morning very informative lots of points of question.

Called me claiming to be from O2 and asked me to tell them a code texted to my number. They are SCAMMERS, aka the lowest of the low.

SCAM - claimed to be from Amazon calling about recent purchase charged to may account.

This number called me on my landline & when I answered there was a pre-recorded message to the effect that there had been suspicious transactions on my bank card. I strongly suspect this is a scam.

Wanted to talk about my life insurance policy but said it was an "AIG policy" which it isn't. When questioned on this he repeated the same thing once and then stealthily changed it to say he was working with my provider and AIG. Double checked and the two companies don't appear related. He then started on the spiel where he called it a personal policy which it isn't. Let him continue to waste his time and then told him the truth when he asked at which point he hung up on me. Total scam BS.

They will try to gain access to your account (Account Takeover) and add upgrades and payment plans. ie, ordering Apple Watches from your account which they will have delivered to their own address but you will essentially be paying for these! Avoid call at all costs.

This was an unknown number and the caller said he was my computer technician,,,,,,,,he isnt.

A Asian guy called saying I have been awarded a 30% discount for being a loyal customer O2 customer. i Left O2 over a couple of years ago, so I checked the number out online while he was talking and the number was listed as a scam call, so knew it was a scam. He said he was going to pass me to customer service. I then spoke to the next Asian guy who said he would send me a message and to except it (phone malware). Fraud. they are impersonation other company details. please be aware. they called trying to sell a personal loan using Finance and Investment Solutions ltd name. I have been told by FCA that these individual cloned this company and no related with this company.

SCAM - Call centre pretending to be BT.

Called me twice stating he was from Microsoft and stated our computer was being hacked. on the second call he shouted, "Have I tried to sell you something... NO!!!!! Have I asked you for your bank account or for money... NO!!" I was very angry and gave him some nice new words to look up. There is no way he was a specialist from Microsoft!

Indian call centre person (could hear others in the background trying to scam others), claiming to be from the Utilities Department. Told him I knew he was a scammer as there is no such thing as the Utilities Department. He hung up and I blocked the number. They also use 0161 669 0643 and 0640. Seems they have purchased quite a few numbers to scam people.
