SCAM / SPAM accident company, never answer any calls if you are not sure, cgeck them first online and block them, they have a new tacktic how to get your phone number, usually through your advert on gumtree, if you put an advert and want to sell something and you will put your phone number then they will call you straight away, so don't put your number, even if you don't show your numver on gumtree they will message you through gumtree saying they are interested in your item and ask for your phone number, s

Absolute rubbish but anxiety - making for the vulnerable or unaware

Text from Lloyds bank quoting last 4 digits of account number asking me to ring the 0808 number. Contacted my bank and notified them. They confirmed it's a scam. Block it. I have.

Debt collecter. Somehow rigged it so my phone displayed the last number to ring me (my wife) when infact it was them, is this legal? Very dishonest.

SCAM 01392433831 called me today approximately 11pm on my landline - I don't say anything when i answer and wait for the caller to speak first - but when I took the call it had a very noisy background like a call centre, but no discernible conversations then the caller hung up. This is a typical nuisance call - usually from overseas with heavily accented BT/O2/Vodafone/EE 'Technician' wanting to access my accounts etc. They always hangup if i don't say anything first.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1792917xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI claims (also reclaim money from holidays) / insurance marketing / energy schemes. J

SCAM Got a call claiming to be from Mastercard & Visa. Apparently I had made a payment of £600 to a foreign country. Hung up there. I don't have £600, so I don't think I'd be making such a payment. SCAM!

Trying to sell alarms at £99 and asking about my own alarm system at home. Accepted no when I told him not interested but asked if I have an alarm at home. Are they suspect or just sellers?

Claim to be from a security company working with the local authority. Nonsense. Avoid engaging with these people
