Call center Fraud I'm deeply suspicious about thing number - caller claimed to be offering an EE deal, but when queried on why they were contacting me this way they immediately slammed the phone down on me. Feels very fishy.

Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. Got cold called from this number twice. Caller claimed to be from a security company and asked whether I was ever scammed. When I told him I didn't know him or his company and did not feel comfortable answering any questions, he called me a 'f*cking wh*re' and hung up.

SCAM Claimed to be from Currys / PC World offered an iPhone 13 Pro Max for £35 per month unlimited calls, data and texts. I asked why it was so cheap and they said it was a limited, local promotion not available online or instore. I asked for more details and they said they would email them to me. Still waiting for the email....

SCAM Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Said that she understood, I had lost money in an investment and would I like to get it back, I asked how she got my name and phone number and she immediately hung up. This is obviously a scam,

Wanted to talk about my life insurance policy but said it was an "AIG policy" which it isn't. When questioned on this he repeated the same thing once and then stealthily changed it to say he was working with my provider and AIG. Double checked and the two companies don't appear related. He then started on the spiel where he called it a personal policy which it isn't. Let him continue to waste his time and then told him the truth when he asked at which point he hung up on me. Total scam BS.
