caller identified herself as Jennifer (Asian sounding voice) & said she was calling from BT & there was a problem with my computer & my service was about to be cut off. I was slightly concerned since I have a BT broadband account & was using my laptop at the time, but the tone of the call felt bogus so I hung up & checked number via Google.

These guys call saying they are from EE and offering special deals. Then they asked for my personal information. When I questioned why they needed my data they stated that the number they called on (which appeared on my handset) if listed on the EE website under the security section. I hung up and checked. No such number on EE s website, so I call a contact I have at EE and she checked and stated the number is most definitely NOT EE and I should not treat the call as an EE authorised call. This number called while I was out today. I rang it back later and got a message that it could not accept calls. My caller display indicated that it was an "international" number. Because it was clearly not from Liverpool, I set my call blocker against it. I note that it has subsequently rung again. My blocker rejected it.

I have had a few calls from these but i never answer 08 numbers because 9 times out of ten they are dodgy and probably charge you for answering. I would love to know how they get your number. I have blocked this number from calling me again.
