Very suspicious, automated voice call basically telling me I'm in trouble with HMRC and to call the number they've rung from immediately. Strange that the message was with an American accent - yeah pull the other one!

alled up saying they were from Eon, they were not from EON they were a call centere for a broker.

I received the number 01223933956 this morning. Claimed to be a Sean with a very heavy Indian sub-continent accent, from BT Outreach claiming there were problems with my internet. I engaged with him, to spin him along so he would have less time with more vulnerable people but when he realised what I was doing he became very abusive.

Claiming to be from Microsoft to say they have detected hacking on a computer, which is not switched on (not plugged in to a power supply). He threaten to cancel the Microsoft Licence Number saying - that Microsoft would not support the product and the computer could no longer be used!

I was called from 01733385646 and because I come from Peterborough I answered it. It was an automated voice stating that there had been a number of charges made against a card, going on to say that one was for Amazon. They were so obviously not from any bank as they did not say which bank, card, etc., Therefore I just put the phone down. When I tried to call the number back it went dead as if not recognised. Thus I conclude that this could be a scam!

Scam. Will try to take control of your computer then do god knows what next! One scam is that they provide a link to resolve computer /printer problems, get you to complete a form so they can contact you to help then take control of your computer .... in a sneaky manner ...

Tax scam, threatening me with arrest and telling me to press 1.

Was sent a card to my home address telling me to get in touch. Card wasn't signed so didn't ring the number. Very suspicious

Fraud Was chatting with someone online who gave me this number. Claimed she was 20 years old. Then she sent a nude pic of herself, then told me she's 17, but 18 next month. So I called a halt and said sharing pics with anyone under 18 is illegal, let's leave it here. She then looked me up on Facebook and threatened to tell my family I was sharing pics with a 17 year old unless I gave her £300. This number called me this morning 10.02 am. What appeared to be recorded message told me that they were speaking from Visa and my card had been used to place an £800 bet in the USA, if this wasn't me press a button on the phone. I hung-up without responding and have confirmed this was not true, another scam.

Automated SCAM call re: £300 Amazon & £1100 Currency conversion. Could be a spoofed phone number.

Pretending to be HMRC and noticing me that there is a tax evasion case on my name. Then the operator asks for my name. It is obviously a SCAM! I did not give them any personal details and she hung up. I also didn't call back. Be careful and alert!
