Asked to speak to person dealing with BT accounts. Would not send details by email, said it had to be done over the phone for call monitoring purposes. Asked for me by name, said they had got my number from a database and I would be eligble for compensation. My only thought is that it could have come from the company I claimed PPI through as I do not give my mobile number to other places.
