First they called tried to confirm that the were speaking to the person they were calling for. Annoyingly they would read back my address. Then they would ask if they could do a short survey. another time they have an Indian accent and sometimes they have an English accent. Sometimes Indian man. SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person

I m generally pretty careful giving out my details but for some reason this time wasn t. The company called me I was given a name John Quinn and they seemed to have alot of my details already and were very pleasant. But looking back they were desperate to get my details and evasive of giving an actual amount. They promised me an email the same day and a call at 15.30. Neither of which I got. I spoke to the bank, they weren t very helpful either. Eventually I cancelled my card an froze my account. Not ideal
Fraud When I answered this call there was an automated message seemingly from the DWP stating that my National Insurance number was going to be stopped because of fraud. The message asked me to press 1 to speak to an operator. I was then transferred to an open line where I could hear a lot of background noise, like a call centre, nobody said anything and then the line went dead. I then called the number back and a business selling plastic answered. Why people do this is a disgrace.
