Left a message on my answer phone which was difficult to understand but appeared to be about an address for parcel delivery. They never said who they were or asked if I was the person they were trying to contact and further investigation showed that calls to this number cost 16p a minute from a landline plus a setup fee of 23p.
Fraud - pretending to be from First Direct Fraud Team. It isnt. They will try to keep you on hold while they run "risk assessments" and other nonsense.
SPAM Called two days on the trot. When called back with CallerID withheld, number immediately connected to recorded music – making me wonder if the 020 number may have been spoofed, and an offshore VoIP call centre is the true source…

SCAM I received 4 calls from this number today, between 16.47 pm / 16.49 pm / 16.51 pm / 17.02 pm. It was an unrecognised number, so it went straight to my voicemail. No voicemails, were made. I received a text message that said: “ You missed a call from me at 16:47 13 Jun.This is a free Call Alert from O2. To disable this dial 901, press *, then option 5 and option 5.” I am unclear as to whether this is a message from O2 UK. I’d err on caution as no voicemail was left. Redialling the nu

I was called at 12:30 while eating my lunch, it was a woman saying she was an energy advisor in my area. When I said "sorry what company are you from", she rudely hung up! Obviously a fraud as I live near ther south coast not in the area of Blackburn.

This a scamster trying to get you to pay money by posing to be your relative who has just damaged their phone and asks you to save this number as theirs. This number is being used for criminal activity.
It was a recorded message saying "this is your bank. three withdrawals have been made on your card this morning...." and went on to list various sums. No name of bank, no name of card or card holder. The number used is not listed by my bank. Very suspicious.

SCAM. An Asian sounding man who called himself Simon called me to say my washing machine warranty had run out. Seeing as our washing machine is about 15 or more years old I do not doubt it. I told him not to try and scam me as I had had these sort of calls before, and hung up. I have since blocked the number.

Message also suggest the you ring back to speak to an operator with the company, again not named, if you need further help or information. I suggest you DO NOT do this.
