This was a scammer who pretended to be from BT talking about illegal access to your broadband.!! That's rich!! Hacked my bank account and Amazon a/c. It took ages-up to 5 days to clear this mess up and it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. If someone had asked me last night if the death penalty was appropriate for scammers, I would have agreed. Now thinking about it castration without anaesthetic would be better.

I received call from this number claiming to be reporting that my desktop computer had been hacked. Suspicious. Caller broke off when I expressed doubts about veracity of his claims.
Silent call on answer, rang the number back, got an American female recorded voice about online appliance servicing and to leave details to be called back. Had to ring twice to work out what the recorded voice was saying as it was spoken quickly, to the point it seems designed that way to mislead. I suspect these are some kind of call-back scam.
