I live in Plymouth but judging by other comments, they were calling from Darlington. Asked her for name of company and she said Industrial Workers Office. I gave them an earful and hung up. have been getting these calls regularly, once daily for several weeks. I usually ignore the call when my caller display shows this number. Last week I rang 1471 for the hell of it and got a recorded message -your wine club tried to contact you. I am actually a Laithwaites member and use them when I want to order wine. These calls seem to be part of a wider push to bring in more sales. However the recorded message also gives you an other number to ring if you wish not to receive further calls. This is 0800 6

Repeated calls. Either put phone down on me without saying anything or on one occasion laughing then putting phone down. Rang number and it was not recognised.

A lady saying she was going to help with my claim. I asked where she got my data and gave her my work email address so that the complaints team could get back to me with the exact source. Probably shouldn t have.

These people are from a company called Ultimate Contact Solutions. The only reason they are calling you is to get you to call back (money making) and to confirm a contact number is active so they can sell it on. If you are unlucky enough to answer and stupid enough to ring back they then pump you for your details, and if able to other family members details so they can sell your details at a higher price and get an extra sale from your family s details.
