The guy rang about PPI. He had the wrong name for the number and when I pointed out it was a company number he wouldn t give up and said he wanted to help everyone. I told him I had no PPI and he still wouldn t give in. He wanted to know if I had gone through the claim before and I told him I have no loans or credit cards so then he moved onto whether I was sold PPI through a mortgage. I kept telling him my answer was no but he was very persistent.

Chap claiming to be "Jim from Unique Preferences" (with a thick Indian accent) wanted to ask me "a few simple yes or no questions". He insisted he was not trying to sell me anything. The purpose of the call was "marketing". He said his company s partners would be able to make me offers which could save me money. Scam, they sent me an email claiming to be from BT, offering new packages and claiming my contract is coming to an end, they claimed my current billing is different to what it actually is. I looked up BT's contact number online and contacted them directly and not this number that was in the email. They confirmed they didn't send me any emails and this is in fact a scam/fraud
