Several telephone calls from them. They call about my domestic appliance renewal and they use a very similar name to my actual insurance provider. They then lie and claim that the policy is with them and they just want to do a good deal for renewals. I was suspicious so telephoned my actual provider and they confirmed the call was not from them. This is a scam. The callers are dishonest and will call repeatedly. I recommend you block this number immediately.

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. Phoned out blue, saying following up a previous enquiry I’d made once about investments. Said not a sales call but called themselves ?BT Marketing? I’m currently looki at investments. So let the call run. Pleasant polite lady. Asked if they could pass my details onto a tech investment firm, to send me more info. I felt extra info may be useful, so gave permission. However, contact info they had for me was a very old email address. She reassured me they would not pass my details to anyone else. (We’ll see).
