Received an abandoned call on 22/03/2023. I called back and they immediately knew my name as they could see my number (despite it being withheld). After much persuasion on my part, they told me they were DIRECT AFFINITY EUROPE and had been given my details by a Hull motor dealer (D.M. Keith) to chase a 'lost sale'. But I had told D.M Keith that my number should never be passed to any third party!

I received the call from this Vietnam number at 8am on a Sunday. By the time I got to my phone they had rung off without leaving a message. I had requested a cash offer for my house from Go Move and wondered if it was them. I checked with Who Called Me and discovered that it was a Vietnamese number which has over 1000 checks and one7/10 review saying it was a government message thanking them for their coronaviru efforts. My phone rang again from the same 0845 602 11111 number and I got an SMS from Go Move

SCAM This number appears to the associated with Bank Payment scams because I nearly fell for one, Had an automated message stating from my bank say that they had identified to large debits against my account which were suspicious. When I replied that they were not mine, I was put through to this number and was answered by a man who gave his name as a Paul Butler and stated that he was a member on the bank fraud investigation team. Very suspicious but I can't work out what is happening??? A guy called me saying he had a missed call from me. I didn't recognize his number and thought it would be very unlikely for me to ring a random number like that by accident. He insisted that I had called him though and he was merely calling back. Checked my dialed call log - no I hadn't called him!!! I'm therefore trying to work out what the scam might be???
