This is to harvest people’s voice related to your phone number and location for database. All done in a nano second by AI software. Someone wants to know where you are and that it is you answering the phone. That is why you get these calls several times daily even if you have told you are not interested.

Received a call saying it was International Banking Finance and that two large amounts had been withdrawn from my bank account. Asked to Press1 to speak to someone. I also received a similar call a week ago from a different number, but still the Derby code. The one that rung last week was a local business who appeared to know nothing about it.

I had a call to say my gas meter engineer was in an accident and had to rearrange for next week. Strangely I had a call from the engineer 15 minutes later to say he was on his way and knew nothing of an accident. I can't help but feel suspicious .

Had an email from Amazon about scammers using Amazon Prime excuses then this afternoon received a phone call on thus number saying my Prime account has expired dont have a prime account SCAM
This number is attached to a PayPal request for £749.99 from a Brad Faylo ([email protected]) I declined the request, obviously, but it mentions fraudulent activity in my account debiting £749.99 GBP for iFLY gift cards.

Received an abandoned call on 22/03/2023. I called back and they immediately knew my name as they could see my number (despite it being withheld). After much persuasion on my part, they told me they were DIRECT AFFINITY EUROPE and had been given my details by a Hull motor dealer (D.M. Keith) to chase a 'lost sale'. But I had told D.M Keith that my number should never be passed to any third party!

They called claiming to be 3 Mobile and wanted me to upgrade to a new contract when I only just renewed my contract with the real 3 Mobile a couple of months back and my existing contract is locked for another 10 months. Called to say from MBNA and that there was a problem with the account. Indian (asian) voice. Wife was very rude to him. The number that came up was the same as the MBNA help line number with extra 2 added at the end. Called MBNA - very helpful - no they had not contacted us. MBNA say they always text before ringing and only speak to main account holder.
