Fraud. A recorded voice told me that my visa card was being used to purchase something in the region of £600. I was supposed to press '1' but the voice didn't say what for!! I tried calling the number but it doesn't exist. Beware!

Calling saying they were from Currys / PC World , accent suggested Indian caller, Currys / PC World do not have permission to call me - caller hung up when challenged on this. I suspect it was a scam call (your PC is infected with a virus type scam)

This number was a recorded message saying my Amazon Prime subscription was due. I do not have AP! This is a scam.

Spoke to a gentleman who called from this number. Sounded middle eastern. Was very polite and respectful, He asked me if I could send him video of me having sex with a pig. I told him I would not feel right violating his wife. He laughed wildly and hung up!

Definite scam. I looked up Starpro - Aberdeen. They call off different numbers all based in Aberdeen and there's loads of people stating that they were scam artists trying to claim to be a phone company and asking for details.

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.

A text from this number is a scam. It suggests the text is from a family member who has damaged their phone, and is calling from a friend's phone asking you to call back on a WhatsApp link.

These people tried to talk me to giving money because I didn't give my DNA when they sent me a letter - um first off I didn't get any letters and second I'm pretty sure cops don't tell you that you have a warrant on the phone and can "take care of it" if you give them an iTunes card!!! SCAM - somebody called to ask to speak to my husband regarding his business account with British Gas. When I asked them to contact my husband's business directly they stated that the only number they had (which is our home number). They gave me a reference number and asked if my husband could call them. It all sounded very plausible - please be aware.

Cold call claiming to be about my Life insurance from "MEH", they had my name but no details as to who my provider(s) were. Talking about issue of not being covered due to non-disclosure for older policies. Claimed not to be sales, but during the call I did hear in the background applause and cheers (which indicates someone did make a sale in the same room). I suspect it is a scam designed either to sell you a product or get information about your existing products

Got a phonecall saying that it was eon to arrange an appointment to fit a smart meter he asked if I would pay by direct debit or smart pay as you go when I said pay as you go je said there was a problem with the system and he would call back I contacted eon and they assured me that this is a scam and not one of their numbers
