There were no less than five calls from this number while I was out. I did not need to be told it was the criminals pestering me again as I have had so many of them. However it was confirmed next day when a call came from a slightly different number, 01614357985. Other sites informed me a large number of people had been called similarly. got a call said they were from the TPS and they wanted to upgrade but I needed to confirm my bank account details and sort code and expiry date. As if scammers BT sort this out and close them down.

Whenever I answered the phone - which was annoying in itself, as I have a shop and was serving a valuable customer when the phone rang, I had to cut my conversation short and ran through to answer the phone, whenever I picked up the receiver, before I said anything, they hung up. I rang it back and the message said the number was not recognised. These clowns need to be STOPPED!!

Yet another call from the Manchester area but they are too lazy or stupid to acknowledge you when you answer the call

Got a call from 01246 255920 it was the same company UK Finance who keep ringing me on different numbers. They said i am due 10 year bank charges but could not tell me which bank. I just keep them on the line saying i need to write the number down then can't find my glasses etc. It must be 6 times they have called asking me to ring 0913 1240 871 which could cost me around £25 a call as it is a premium number. Of course once i do ring 0913 they can then release my cheque. I must have wasted at least an hour

The person who phone my mobile said I could not register a mobile phone with TPS. He is wrong. I have therefore report them to TPS and used the which web site

A woman from this number with a clearly Liverpool, masquerading as a number local to me, has *repeatedly* called me... when I answered this time, she said that her company, CR Assist had tried repeatedly to get hold of me with regards to my accident. When I told her that I'd not had an accident, and where was she calling from as it was obviously not Shrewsbury as via the dialling code, she hung up one me. Blocked!!!

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618142xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance claims, financial marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
