Text message purporting to come from HMRC in relation to tax refund asking me to follow a link. Looks like a scam

Claimed to be working in conjunction with my security company, then it became apparent that they only wanted to sell me their products. How can you trust a security company that tells untruths ?

This number keeps calling ? Any ideas who it is

Line took a while to connect. Caller with an Indian-sounding accent. Had call from same number earlier today, but that didn t connect. I checked the number, and it came up as nuisance call, so I hung up immediately just now. Will now block number.

I have had approx 3 calls from EE and I am almost certain I will not be renewing with them when my contracts expires later in the year. Each call has had a similar style: Poor communication skills; talked at me, did not listen or answer my questions. Aggressive: I m naturally quite chilled and helpful but after each of these called I have been angry and proceed to block the number. Strange - holidays I have never heard of and links I do not understand. As the appear to be cold callers I suspect a scam.

Nusance call rings then hangs up

Called asking for non-executive Director by name - "it s Johnny from the surveyors at Altus" were the words he used. I walked through to our Director and used the same words. Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. I returned to Johnny and advised this, to which he said "did you tell him it s a financial matter?". I responded, "No, because you didn t say it was. But he won t take the call". He persisted for a little longer before he hung up on

An idiot rang me from this number stating that he could get me refunds for all of any of the loans, credit cards and mortgages that I d ever had during my lifetime. I told him that I didn t have any just to get him off the phone to which he replied that I WAS A LIAR.
