introduced himself as from TPS, Telephone protection service and then some scam about attaching a box to line to stop nuisance calls which they would charge 50p a week for for 3 years.Awful that they are masquerading as Telephone Preference Service. Had a call today saying that they were a new company setting up in my local area and they already had a company in Leeds. Asked me if I drank water. Said no - he was surprised! Then said he didn t blame me. Asked if I would answer a few simple questions to be entered into a prize draw for a holiday. Don't think they will have much luck taking legal action against an NI number as it is not a person. Tried calling the number back but it does not connect. BLOCK THIS NUMBER
I was called to day and the man asked to speak to my husband. I asked him what about and he said that it was about his HSBC holdings which needed assessing. I told him he couldn t be from HSBC as my husband died this year and HSBC were well aware of this. He apologised quickly and rang off.

Called my home phone asking to speak with a business, told them no business here. Kept calling so I entertained the call until they asked for my bank details. When I said i was with metro bank, they said never heard of it. That was the second red flag, the first was him saying they hadnt heard of E-on Energy - as calling from OPUS. So When he suddenly found metro bank on his system and asked for my sort code i was quite rude and said F Off stop scamming people.

NEVER call unknown numbers back as you may be calling a Premium Rate or International number masked by a spoofed number which could be a very expensive call.

Received a text on my mobile saying that my Paypal account has been blocked. There was a link to follow to unblock it. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK. Check up with Paypal on another device, through normal channels. I did this on my laptop and it was not sent by them. THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT RESPOND.
