Rang my landline today and an automated message said that our phone would be cut off in 24 hours. As we pay by direct debit every month, it cannot be true. It said we should push 1 for BT or 2 for any other supplier. We think it was that scam where they try to get bank details. it rang back twice within ten minutes. We didnt answer either call.

Well, this number is reported mainly for two different companies - UNICEF and Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) , but in fact it is used by call centre working for non-profit organisations and using the same database of number for multiple tasks.
