Normal HMRC scam call.....threatening legal actions!!

Told me they were calling as id applied for a loan which had been declined. I haven t applied for any loasns and she kept insisting I had but said she couldn t tell me where id applied due to confidentiality. In the process of buying a house and the only loan id applied for was a mortgage which is already in place so very disconcerting. When I tried to question her she tried to end the call. Clearly a scam.

So many fake comments from the company here it s all unbelievable and so obvious hahahha

Told me it was to do with an accident I d been involved in during past two years (I haven t had any road accidents and not driven for over 8 years). Told her to F*** off so she rang back and asked what was that I d said, so told her I was sick and tired of these calls and to F*** OFF again. She rang for a third time so I just put the phone down

Almost certainly a scammer. These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Block the number if you have the facility.

When I dialled the number it went straight to a voicemail asking me to record a message. Have blocked the number.

Called (twice) to tell me that a survey showed few people in my area with alarm. Explained I have one and not interested. 2nd time asked to be removed from list as on TPS. Have now blocked on BT as well

I have just received a call, a person, with an Asian accent, telling me that they were calling on behalf of my internet provider! (I received a similar call last week too, but told them I was having dinner). Apparently, they have noticed that my internet is not working to it s full potential. That I have several files that are unused and causing the delay! I was asked to go onto the internet and link up to something that he would direct me on. Called twice today. No message. Has called several times over the last week or so.
