Scammed my 76 year old dad. He paid ?150 for a piece of worthless plastic junk that does not work. Why arn t the goverment doing more to protect people from these nusiance callers. And guess what they won t give a refund.

Repeatedly told him he wasn t available, asked him which company was calling and to remove my number from their list as I was registered with TPS(useless, I know!). Fraud Call was recorded message purporting to be from Amazon and saying that payent of £399 had been taken for my order, if I did not authorise this press 1. So hung up, so obviously a fraud. Caller ID on phone showed a local geographical number, most likely that this was fake. Telecoms companies should have a way of identifying the origin of these calls and should really address this lawbreaking, ie conspiracy to commit fraud.

Got an automated voice message saying if I disregard the message they'll be raising a complaint against me. But didn't specify a company or who they were calling in behalf of, so I'm assuming spam.
The phone rang 15 times before I answered. Sounded like other people doing similar calls in the background. Accented man, knew my name and address!!!!?? Said my washing machine warranty was expired. I bought a new one within the last 6 months so this is rubbish. Very worrying that these people have addresses too!! Frightening for people living alone like myself.
