After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?

Likely scam. They rang me. I picked up but didn't say anything into the phone. They didn't say anything either and then hung up. I always answer in this way when I receive an unexpected phone call from an unfamiliar number. Legitimate callers always say "hello" and try to get a response. Scammers hang up. It happens every time!

Odd. It searches as an apparently legitimate IT company, but I got an automated message about overseas card transactions. Has their number been stolen?

This is fraud call. Ria Durms pretend to call from three mobile. and her supervise used fake name "David" and try to speak in British accent but I can clearly figure out that he is an Asian guy. Also, they are asking for Full name, Date of birth, Address & Bank detail. I gave fake name and they verified it as they have record in their system which proves that the call is fraud.
