This person claimed to be my child who had smashed their phone and wanted me to WhatsApp this number, which I didn’t do. They said they had called from a friend’s phone 07599569709 which was about to die. This is terrible preying on parents. I don’t know what would have happened if I clicked on the number. I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. My Mum got scammed with a company called World IT pro saying they worked with Microsoft. They actually remote installed remote tracking software so they could see all her computer activity and charged her £300 for 'five years protection' - I called and complained and said I thought it was a scam and they refunded it (or it looks like they have - the money hasn't come back into the bank yet). They refunded my mum on the basis of what I said - did not get her authority to talk to me - SCAM

If you get a quote from Compare the Market or Money Supermarket, they are in partnership with Life Search who deal with the enquiries, not a scam in any way shape or form, amazes me how quickly people shout SCAM! – I actually got a great deal from them, they were very professional and cheaper then most.

I got a text from this number pretending to have a verification number for Microsoft. I refreshed the website and got Microsoft to send me another a verification number. When Microsoft text you, it will say MICROSOFT. If a mobile number comes up, DO NOT USE THAT CODE.
Fraud - they'll send you a fake track and trace message which takes you to an official looking website but it's not the government's one. If you fill your details they'll take money out of your account. Watch out - SCAM

Told her I wasn't with 02, she said you are, (I think). Put the phone down and blocked it.
