I had a call this afternoon apparently from this number 08000234567, which I know is the number of the Financial Ombudsman's Office, when the caller said he was from the fraud dept of my bank. I had called the Financial Ombudsman earlier in the day on that number. It did not feel right and when I challenged the caller he put down the phone. Somebody may be able to pick up the numbers of those who have called the FOO? I will tell the FOO by email as their phone system takes too long to get through!

I only sent a STOP message, as was suggested. They charged mec19 pence without permission.

Called out of the blue by this number and voicemail left claiming supposedly that legal actions are to be taken against me shortly, press 1 to speak to someone. Called the number back and it doesn't accept incoming calls. on the face of it, appears to be a total scam.

Claims to be from Santander, definitely isn't. Just ignore. Apparently they wanted to check some activity on my card, which was interesting as I don't bank with Santander.

Claiming they call from HMRC with a court case against your name. After started asking questions about some proof they work for HMRC, they started panicking and said I can look up the case on the website of UK's Supreme Court. Plot twist - there is no Supreme Court in the UK.

There is no point in reporting to the TPS or OFCOM these numbers that any scammer can buy. The telecoms company Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd That sold this number also supply a list of phone numbers to call. You are on that list if this number phoned you. Best is to get something like a Panasonic KX-TGJ420E. And leave a Google Maps review for the telecoms company.

A Asian guy called saying I have been awarded a 30% discount for being a loyal customer O2 customer. i Left O2 over a couple of years ago, so I checked the number out online while he was talking and the number was listed as a scam call, so knew it was a scam. Calling saying they were from Currys / PC World , accent suggested Indian caller, Currys / PC World do not have permission to call me - caller hung up when challenged on this. I suspect it was a scam call (your PC is infected with a virus type scam)
