Fraud Received a call for numbers 07741 597 541 and 07741 457 942. The pre-recorded message asking to act immediately as my National insurance is about to be suspended and to press on to link with caller. Didn't say who the call was for, I hung up regardless. Clearly somebody hoping to scam me.

My number is not listed and they called my land line AND mobile! Apparently they sent me a letter, but wanted me to confirm my address. I never got anything and had never heard of them before! I told them on both occassions - they called withing 5 minutes on both lines - to take me complete details off their list and stop harrassing me or I would call the authoroties. On my question what it was about why they called they didn t answer. SCAM! They had my name.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?

Had a call today saying that they were a new company setting up in my local area and they already had a company in Leeds. Asked me if I drank water. Said no - he was surprised! This number left a txt message at 10:40, saying “PostOffice: Sorry we missed you today at 8:05 AM on 15/09. Please schedule a redelivery for your parcel via https;//redelivered-depot.com “ I have copied the message to the letter. I was up at 8:05 so would definitely have heard the doorbell if it had been rung. Why did the message take 2 1/2 hrs to be sent, I tried the link, but it doesn’t work. So I don’t know whether there is a parcel or not? Map shows dot in middle of a field nr Clitheroe. Worrying.

The phone rang 15 times before I answered. Sounded like other people doing similar calls in the background. Accented man, knew my name and address!!!!?? Said my washing machine warranty was expired. I bought a new one within the last 6 months so this is rubbish. Very worrying that these people have addresses too!! Frightening for people living alone like myself.
