A man with a strong foreign accent rang to say we had £137 refund from the insurance on our washing machine and wanted bank details so the refund could be made. Definatly a fraudulent attempt.

SCAM / SPAM Received a text from this number saying there was an issue processing my bill for EE broadband, which I do use. The wording was slightly off. The link provided did look like the EE website. I phoned EE directly, it is a phising scam.

Had the same call asked him for his name which he said was Stan Cooper which I doubt. Would not give up until I told him I was contacting the police he swiftly hung up.

They would not give any information out over the matter or even give me my own door number or year of birth - my check to see if it is a cold call. Somebody called Daniel trying to flog me a new phone. Told him that I am happy with the one I have. Would probably want your Cc details to pay for a new phone so I think it's a scam. Number blocked but they will always have different numbers they can use.

SCAM - Claimed to be a debt investigation company and even had my name but I told them to send me an email instead and he hung up
Similar story to many of the above, claim that the 3rd party in an accident is making a claim and I should too, very poor line on the one occasion someone did speak otherwise it just hangs up after I answer. Tried calling back and it just goes straight to hold music indefinately.
