Called me in the middle of the night, 12:55am to be exact. I did not answer the call since I do not know the number and nobody calls at the said time if it’s not important. Did not leave a voicemail or send a text message either.

19/01/23 at 15:42 Got 5 text messages on my mobile,introduced themselves as my eldest child,said that she had a little accident,that shes texting me from her friend's mobile (00447709082775), gave me this number 00447700161284 to text back to confirm.It said that she dropped her phone,that she is bit stressed out.asked me if i can help her with something and make payment for her.When I asked to proof its my daughter,no more texts received.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. I suspect this phone number has been cloned and, given the caller's accent and the quality of the line, is being used by a call centre from abroad. Almost definitely a scam.

I suspect this call to be a SCAM. We do NOT know any one in Skipton. Short ring on my phone so they want you to call back. DO NOT DO IT! I traced this call to Hotel Rendezvous, Skipton, North Yorkshire.
