I have received a call from this number a recorded message claiming to be the HMRC threatening to take action against me. There was an option to stay on the line and speak to an operator. Obviously I didn't. When tried to call back, receiver ended the call back.

I said I would not answer any questions.but he proceeded to ask if I had double glazing. However, this site states that this number has been looked up ten times and does not appear to be malicious, but I would still advise NOT to answer or call this number - if it's important enough, they will message or leave a voicemail. At present, they have not done this, so I do not trust it.

I answered a call from this number, and heard a male at the other end of the line with the sound of other people in the room. He didn’t answer immediately, and after a short while asked if I could hear him, to which I, possibly foolishly replied “Yeah, yeah”. The phone was not put down at his end, but there was no reply when I tried to communicate at which point I ended the call.
