Similar story to many of the above, claim that the 3rd party in an accident is making a claim and I should too, very poor line on the one occasion someone did speak otherwise it just hangs up after I answer. Tried calling back and it just goes straight to hold music indefinately.

It's hard to believe that is still happening, and it's even harder to believe that nothing has been done to stop these types of calls in today's wealth of technology, these people should think about the harm and misery they cause but of course when you are a scammer it's the last thing you think of isn't it.
Phone rings, 2 seconds of sounds of a busy call centre, then a rather posh Indian says "Mr.M#####k?" I say "Yes" He continues, "My name is (bogus Indian name) this is the call blocking service..." and I hung up. I don't know why I bother answering the phone nowadays, 99% of the time it is a scam. Caller (an Asian) said he was ringing from an accident investigation solicitor based in London, about the car accident that I had during past 4 years, and they could claim compensation on my behalf. Kirsty , an automated survey, called Oct 9th 2014. I am ex-directory and registered with TPS. I am also disabled and find phone calls very stressful. Due to my disability, I need my phone line available at all times but this call blocked my access to my own phone line! I hung up and then went to make another call-- kirsty and her survey on energy supply was still prattling on! Hung up again but again, the call was still blocking my line when I tried to call out. Disgusting!

Indian female claiming I have had an error on my internet during gaming. Claimed to be from BT who I m not with. Then asked me what I use the computer for to which I pointed out must be gaming as she had said. Asked me to find Ctrl key and asked me which key I could see next to it. Now quizzing me on the QWERTY keyboard layout is a bit of a bore so told her to go forth and multiply. She quickly hung up when I pointed out I m coming for her.
