Called asking for non-executive Director by name - "it s Johnny from the surveyors at Altus" were the words he used. I walked through to our Director and used the same words. Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. Text message purporting to come from HMRC in relation to tax refund asking me to follow a link. Looks like a scam
SCAM Asian sounding woman said she was from Virgin Media - they see problems with my broadband. I had the same call yesterday from a different number. They cannot prove they are from Virgin and try to get you to do the ASSOC command or similar so they can prove they know what they're doing.

I said NO, he insisted and I said NO, you have phoned me I don't know who you are he then hung up. I contacted my bank immediately and it was not one of their phone numbers.

I ve an italian number so I don t know how they can have my phone number. I live at London and I know nobody who lives at Bolton. I received many calls from this number but was always a silent call, probably it is a scam, be careful.
I missed a call from what appeared to be a mobile 07937933921 I rang back but no one spoke but found on my next bill that I had a charge for personal numbering to ring this number back and I have mobile calls included for free normally. Beware you will pay a premium to ring this number and it isn t an 070 number!
