Fraud Fake HMRC call "If we do not hear from you or your solicitors be ready for the legal consequences" in a robotic voice.
Had a call from this joker, trying to get money from me. Said he was calling on behalf of Amazon.
SCAM This number is actually owned by a legitimate person who has nothing to do with the automated calls received, pertaining to be from Amazon. They have stolen the number and are using it to scam people for their credit card details. I believe they have now found a way to generate random numbers that will show up on your call display, yet are not from the sender.
SCAM claims to be from BT open reach, but couldn't prove it. claimed to be able to speed up my internet for me by deleting files from my rooter. Was very patient with me when I was difficult for 20 min even ringing me back claiming to 'like me' and wanting to talk....

Told me they were from BT Cyber Security but we are not with BT. Rang Back on 004930268864 and said he had just phoned. I said not with BT but he said he knew but put down the phone. The number rang twice but no message left on answerphone.
SCAM / SPAM Automated message allegedly investigating a fraudulent transaction on the Visa card attached to my Amazon account (iPhone refurbishment @ £350). Told to "press 1" to contact Amazon Fraud Detection team otherwise my Amazon account will be suspended. No such transaction showing up on my Amazon account or Visa card. SCAM - automated call saying I was under investigation by HMRC and there was a warrant for my arrest for non payment of taxes. Wanted me to press 1, which I didn't - can't be 100% sure but I expect they were after personal/bank details, in any case it's not a legitimate call.

I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers. So far the numbers who have called me are as follows: 01978 638019 01978 638253 01978 638486 01978 638995 I just wish I had bought a better landline phone to block these and other nuisance spam

FRAUD SCAM!! This was an automated message initially asking if I'd authorised a payment for £600 to overseas. Transferred to a human who said the payment on your visa debit card, I asked which card, she replied your visa debit. I asked again which card, was told from your bank. Which bank? The bank you authorised the payment from. I said I have several banks so which one. She replied Halifax bank, when I said I don't bank with Halifax she hung up on me. Be careful folks!
