Said it was from EE, offering to apply a discount to my account. Not sure about the authenticity of the caller so declined.

SPAM one of many numbers to call me which are apparently some random shops around the U.K. like premier, sainsburys and a Turkish restaurant. Now this ! Apparently a newsagents. I think it’s someone spoofing using their numbers to scam people..
Fraud, claim to be from an appliance company offering an extended warranty. When questioned could not name the make or model of the appliance. Clearly not genuine.

The operator said he worked for UK Debt Solutions, it was a bit difficult to understand him because of his Indian like accent and I was right next to some factories thrumming away. He was polite, he said he was part of a government scheme to reduce debt.and my details were on some sort of database, which is entirely possible. Call from a SCAM gardening & landscaping firm (Tree & Landscaping Services) who send round a team (family members) who will not go away until paid large sums of money. My mother paid them over £600 for about an hour with a chainsaw cutting down healthy trees. They demanded payment in cash & took her to a bank to collect that. I reoprted the offenders to Greater Manchester police who refused to take action.
