Received a text from this number with a link to a bogus paypay verification website to unlock my account only days after an attempted phising / fraud / potential theft exercise after using Gumtree. Links to Nigeria. Reported to Paypay.
Stated that there records showed I d had a traffic accident blah blah, when I haven t had one for ten yrs
Unsolicited cold call-when rang back "please stay on the line you call is important to us"-yep, I put the phone down and blocked the number.
No message left on my answer machine. I did not respond. I’ve received several dubious calls from Wales numbers recently, cannot understand why.

So far I ve received two calls from this number within 24hrs after an online enquiry for broadband & phone with EE. I was just "shopping around" for a better deal. Unsolicited call from Chris, my local energy advisor. When I asked who he worked for, he just repeated his name and his vague title. I told him to FO. The reply was; "OK" and that was the end of the call, It was an English sounding voice, but there was a very slight delay that made me doubt it was actually a human. It could have been an intelligent computerised voice that reads off a script. It was annoying and potentially dangerous.

Automated call saying they are from HMRC and if you don't press one now a warrant will be issued against you for fraud. Total scam.... avoid at all costs and do NOT press one. Apparently if you do you your telephone bill will be charged an extortionate amount of money - not sure how much because, fortunately, I did not press one!!!

Asked for me by name required about a ppi claim. They knew my address.They had to ask me which bank it was thru. And very stupidly I gave him my date of birth. If nothing else they are fishing for information to make an identity theft from unsuspecting people.

The wording was slightly suspect but the link provided did look like the EE website. I phoned EE directly, it is a phising scam. The website is a fake and they want you to put your details in.
