SUSPECTED SCAM - My phone didn’t display ‘suspected spam’ message and on this occasion, I answered it, heard first few seconds of a recorded message: claiming to be Mastercard Security department. Hung up & blocked number.
I didn't answer it, but I've no reason to know who this is, it's probably a call center in my opinion.

This seems to be a scam, someone pretending to be someone's child, saying 'Hi Mum, this is my new number. My phone doesn't turn on on anymore so now you can text and call me on this number'. My child would not write like this. Please be aware.

If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later, and usually using a different number!
