I suspect it's a scam. I rang the number back and it was some electric voice

Called about bitcoin, and said my number was associated with bitcoin purchase about 4 years ago. I did not even have this number that long ago. Sounded very shady, when I questioned what it was about they rushed to hang up saying that they would be in contact when they could prove it.

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. After another threat they told me to press 1 to speak to the officer in charge of the case. At which point I hung.

SCAM This is a scam call claiming to be from Microsoft and telling me that my computer is highly compromised and they need to secure it. Yet they called my nans old landline which I wanted to keep when they house was sold following my uncles death so I had it redirected to my phone. I know this is a scam as they used my uncles name and he had been dead since 2020 so there is no way his computer was sending them any reports

This is a scam. Claiming to be our child who has a broken phone so has got a temporary number. Then asking for a money transfer as their bank account is locked

SCAM called to discuss damp problems reported in my property, I don’t have damp issues and have never reported any problems. I own my own property so knew immediately that this was a scam, talked to them long enough to get the gist of what they were trying to do before hanging up.
