This is a 100% scam by people that are stealing FCA Registered IDs from the FCA and then using those to pose as genuine FCA registered professionals to get you to open a Crypto Wallet - they will say there is a problem setting up the Crypto wallet and will need access to your laptop to resolve - DO NOT TALK TO THEM !

someone claiming to be from O2 called me just now from this number. They were offering a 30% discount on all my bills until the end of my contract, asked me if I wanted to go ahead and told me I would get two text messages with a code I needed to read back to them. Usefully, the text messages were from O2 (the caller had gone into my profile and done a forgotten password which triggers the texts) but the messages said very clearly not to share the info with anyone, even if they claim to be working from O2.

SCAM allegedly I have a bitcoin wallet in my name with fraudulent activity!!!! Clearly a scam. Rude when I said it wasn’t convenient to go on my computer or phone.

I didn't click the link and have reported the text as a probable scam. I'm not expecting any parcel and, as I haven't left the house, they couldn't have a failed delivery.

If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later, and usually using a different number! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you've just successfully escaped being scammed! The scammer then wanted us to give him that code so they could take over the account. DO NOT GIVE THEM THAT CODE AND HANG UP THE CALL AND BLOCK THE NUMBER
