No reason for anyone from London to call me in Ohio.
I answered, they hung up when I asked who it was. It was a female with a foreign accent, not English. I'm blocking that number now. All this simply cause I rang a number off the telly, fairy liquid free samples on itv. I got loads of scam calls since and no fairy liquid free samples.
Received a recorded call saying that there had been unusual activity on my bank account and gave me some options to select 1 or 2. Didn't feel legitimate.

"Bank Security" telling me they needed authorisation for two amounts on my credit card. One for £300 from Amazon. (It is amazing how often I seem to "pay" Amazon £300) and one for an overseas number. Another variation on an old scam. Blocked

SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person

This number called me up to ‘follow up’ after a fraud attempt on my Revolut card. I had actually contacted Revolut as I had another scam call the day before (definitely linked to this one) attempting for me to give a code to add my card to their Apple Pay. Had a call from this number saying they were from BT and that my broadband was not working properly.When I questioned the validity of the call,telling them my broadband was fine,they became abusive and eventually ended the call.
