SCAM 01967 401277 ranf 2 days in a row at around 10am. No one answers, but you can here something going on in the background, like in the call centres atht have multiple hones on dial at once. I hung up straight away and blocked the number. Possible HMRC scam.

SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. This automated call received today, saying from bank security and calling re 2 transactions on account. I instantly put phone down as have had these calls before and then when found out was from Bangalore put block on my phone for this number.

This was from a rude and abusive man with very poor English who claimed he was from carphone warehouse and when I said I wasn't interested he said he was also a police officer and was going to find out where I lived and beat me up, he was screaming abuse at me. This was entirely unprovoked as I am a very polite pensioner who never shouts and swears, I would recommend everyone to do as I have done and block this number.

SPAM Person asked for a name that I have never heard of. I told him sorry, wrong number. He said "that's fine, what's your name please?" I said he doesn't need my name as he has called the wrong number and he got mad at me telling me that I'm rude and should tell him name. I hung up.
