I am abroad and had a miss call from this number. As I did not recognize it, I did not return the call. But I started worrying when I saw other 4 missed calls from the same number. Thanks to your reports I saved a roaming call. I HAD a contract with Vodafone, more than a year ago!

An Indian voice, named James !, confirmed my details claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service and asked if I was still getting unwanted calls. I confirmed that I still get these and he informed me that I needed to update my details with them as it was about to expire. He then asked if I paid by direct debit - at this point I realised this to be a scam and ended the call.

This number phoned my answering machine answered but there was no message left. Why phone and not leave a message

Called claiming to be Scottish Power. I stupidly went through the security questions (address and DOB) as I am in process of leaving Scottish Power. He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card. I had suspicions though and said I would do it online - he asked why, at which point I was really suspicious and called up Scottish Power who didn t know the number, and said my account was in credit. I ve won an iPad according to the automated message this number delivered to me. So pigging annoying! Blocked and reported as spam and worth a watching!
