I did not recognize this number, so I decided to let it go to voicemail. Needless to say they did not leave a message. Looking at the previous comments, it was the correct thing to do by ignoring the call. My motto is ... if it is important/legit then they will leave a message.

This is the number that the Lancashire Emergency Services calls you on if the 999 / 112 call made is disconnected

This number and the previous numbers used are allocated to etctelecom ltd so they may be behind these calls or could do something about them. Try complaining via their website http://etctelecom.co.uk/contact/. Also obviously complain to the ICO also as they do not appear to have enough yet.

I have had numerous calls from this person/company over the last few days. When I answer, they put the phone down, they never leave a message and when I called them back, I got an annoying automated message of the person on extension ..... (Some long random number) is not available. I have rated them untrustworthy as I find this very odd. What kind of reputable company doesn t have a voicemail message FIRST stating the company name? Calling all times of the day. I just ignore them. I have had 3 calls today from them, 4 yesterday. They can keep calling if they like but not going to answer. Going to block every single one that comes through. Bunch of idiots (to put it politely)

Most of these calls originate from outside the UK so the rules or laws have no effect.
