The way it works is Cellso send your mobile an unsolicited text, charging you upwards of £3 every time. As the text are unsolicited, you then call the number above to ask them to stop. They are very apologetic and promise to remove your number straight away from their database. Not much evidence that this actually happens though. Thieving s*theads. Lucky I don't know where their office is.

Called my father who doesn't have a computer but the caller didn't believe him and became abusive. I received a call soon afterwards (adjacent numbers in phone book). I listened then pretended to follow instruction to switch on computer which was very slow! Then he gave me further instructions to follow and then asked me to tell him what I saw on the screen. The usual. Got my name wrong, then went ahead with the "accident you have been involved in" garbage. Claimed to have got my details from the "United Kingdom Insurers Group" or something else that doesn't exist and that he definitely wasn't in breach of GDPR or ICO regulations. www.vehicleinformation.uk - I must have registered to find out the status of an MOT for a vehicle I was purchasing. Stupidly I did not realise that there was a £10 charge for this service. To be fair, if you go onto the website, it does clearly say there is a £10 monthly charge. I wouldnt recommend anybody doing this as you can get the same info for frr from the .Gov.uk website. I spoke to my mobile phone contreact provider, they recommended that I text "STOP" to the number and they credited me the £10 back

A few weeks passed, and a new number that looks similar started spamming me the same way, this went on over and over again.
