I never state my name and immediately ask who is calling, on who's behalf and where they got my details. The lady passed me on to her male colleague. Who said they got my details from the car traffic accident department. I question why they would send them any information. I also stated I have not given any permission to anyone to use my personal data or pass it on. I always answer my phone with my first name and surname. As soon as I did so, the caller hung-up. I ve had this kind of call on dozens of occasions over the past few years, but on this occasion my 1471 actually returned 0208 870 1001. When I tried the number, it returned a "this number does not accept incoming calls" message.
